Ampére

Ampere Turnaround Ampere Short HairAmpere Short Hair 2

Aimee Marie PouletAimee pinup

Ampére Biography

Ampére: Heroine

Real world name - Aimée Marie Poulet [AMP].

Superheroic characteristics: Touch based Electroshock and its associated phenomena, generated thru bio-electro-genesis of high and low voltage. Basically she is a human taser. [She cannot throw lightning bolts – that is electrostatics.]

Appearance: Slim, slight, with large eyes, ash blonde hair, rose lips, and pale skin. As Ampére, she wears a pale blue spandex suit with dark blue piping and dark blue boots. Aimée’s clothing is chic, and sometimes outré. Because she is slight, she appears younger than she is.

Colors: blue and white.

Superheroic Personality: Slinky, smooth, and shocking.

Real World Personality: Very French -- speaks with French idiom and has a French accent. Slinky, risqué, and smooth with chic attire in an Audrey Hepburnish mode. She has an innate wisdom about people which helps in dealing with the somewhat zany but conservative public in Wonder Falls.

Real World job: Owner and chief designer of Aimée’s fashion boutique. This includes a discrete section for Superheroines and Superheroes whose attire often needs repair or replacement.

Faults and Problems: Shocking power lasts only about 1 hour; then she must rest for 8 hours. If she is electrically overextended, she goes unconscious. Her reserves of energy are all electrical. Because of this, she spends an inordinate amount of time lounging like a cat.

Reference: The electric eel (Electrophorus electricus) is capable of generating powerful electric shocks, which it uses for hunting and self-defense. The electric eel has three pairs of organs that produce electricity. These organs are made of electrocytes, lined up so a current of ions can flow through them and stacked so each one adds to a potential difference. When the eel locates its prey, the brain sends a signal through the nervous system to the electrocytes. This opens the ion channels, allowing sodium to flow through, reversing the polarity momentarily. By causing a sudden difference in electric potential, it generates an electric current producing a shock at up to 500 volts and 1 ampere of current (500 watts). Such a shock can stun or kill an adult human.
