READER'S COMMENT SECTION

Sleazy Shyster is not illiterate; he just talks like that. In fact he is a lawyer and bar owner, both of which require a certain amount of intelligence and knowledge. He recently talked Madame Mayor into hiring him as her campaign manager. Magniloquence is, of course, appalled at the idea of dating him. -- Robert Stradley, the Weekend Artist.

We learn here in panel 078 that Madame Mayor is Magniloquence's mother. In fact, even I didn't know that fact until she came out with that line. Again, a case of the characters in my head hijacking the storyline. I'd tell them to shut up, but quite frankly, they appear to be more creative than I am. Looking back over the previous panels to determine if we had a continuity glitch, I discovered that there was nothing to prevent it, and at least one of the panels [303] alluded to it. Who knew? Many of you older readers will recognise the capping line as one from TV commercials. -- Robert
